The consular services

Diplomatic agents and consuls proceed to the registration of Moroccans abroad by issuing a consular registration card. They deliver in accordance with the regulations, travel documents (passports and laissez-passer). They provide various other administrative services, affix visas on passports and travel documents for foreigners, refugees or stateless persons wishing to travel to Morocco and eventually deliver to them all appropriate documents.

As far as the laws and regulations of the country of residence does not object, diplomatic agents and consuls act as civil state officer and deputize in their attributions administrative authorities of the Kingdom. They can under the same conditions under condition to be authorized by joint order of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Justice to act as Adel.

Diplomatic agents and consuls are responsible for the protection of the interests of nationals, both individuals and legal persons in Moroccan for their estate on the territory of the country of residence in accordance with the laws and regulations of the country of residence. They also have a mission to save within the limits set by the laws and regulations of the country of residence, the interests of minors and incapable nationals of the Moroccan government, especially when any guardianship or trusteeship for them is required. In addition, they must provide assistance to Moroccan nationals in their constituencies if necessary.
